Bonnie Lynn Hunt born on September 22, 1961 is an American actress and comedian. Her film roles include Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In animation, Hunt has voiced characters in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story series. She appeared in Grand and Davis Rules, and created, produced, and starred in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. From 2008 to 2010, she was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show. Early life Bonnie Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, hails from Chicago, Illinois. She was born to Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother has Polish roots. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, going to Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, working part-time as a nurse's aide. She started working as an oncology nurse in 1982 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 1984, she co-founded an improvisational comedy troupe called An Impulsive Thing. In 1986, Hunt joined Chicago's famed Second City troupe. In 1988, while working as a nurse, Hunt took a lunch break to audition for the role of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man and secured the role.
